I'm a queer woman living in the United States of America and still figuring things out.
I collect music. I have over a hundred compact discs, and a handful of DVDs acquired entirely through happenstance (record labels nowadays love to include bonus discs for physical releases). I do this for the sake of longevity and archival. Every single record I own has been ripped to my personal computer for safe keeping.
I am a musician. I've been a guitarist since I was thirteen, and I'm somewhat capable as a bassist as well. I'm currently working towards creating a home studio.
I consider myself an activist of the free software movement. I believe that software should be made by people and not corporations, and it should be a fundamental right for users of software to be allowed to study, modify, and redistribute said software. I've used Linux on my personal computer since the age of twelve; currently, I'm using Debian GNU/Linux.
I consider myself a leftist, and by that I don't just mean that I vote for Democrats. I believe in the pooling of collective resources for the greater good. I believe in social welfare programs to uplift the oppressed, the impoverished, or the otherwise disadvantaged. I believe in the abolishment of the upper class. Some may call me a communist; I wouldn't disagree with that claim.
I don't have a "DNI" list of any sort. Whether or not I want to interact with you, I'll decide on a personal basis.
Evie, the love of my life.
